Let your taste buds rings
- Maida (All-purpose flour) – 1 ½ cups
- Baking Soda – 1 tsp
- Baking Powder – 1 ½ tsp
- Cocoa Powder – ¼ cup
- Eggs – 6
- Sugar – 1 ½ cups
- Vanilla Essence – 1 ½ tsp
- Oil – ¾ cup
For the Frosting & Ganache
- Whipping Cream – 1 cup (chilled)
- Compound Chocolate – As needed (available in supermarkets)
- Beat the Egg Whites – Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them until they turn light and fluffy.
- Add Sugar – Gradually add 1 cup of sugar and beat until the mixture becomes creamy.
- Mix Wet Ingredients – Add egg yolks (6), oil (½ cup), and vanilla essence (1 tsp). Beat gently until combined. Do not overbeat.
- Combine Dry Ingredients – Sift together maida (1 ½ cups), baking powder (1 ½ tsp), baking soda (1 tsp), and a pinch of salt.
- Fold the Dry Ingredients – Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. If the batter is too thick, add milk little by little to get the right consistency. Do not overmix.
- Preheat the Oven – Set your oven to 180°C and preheat for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Baking Pan – Line the baking pan with butter paper and pour the batter evenly. Tap the pan to remove air bubbles.
- Bake – Place the pan in the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
- Check Doneness – Insert a toothpick into the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
- Cool & Slice – Remove the cake from the pan, let it cool, and then slice it into three equal layers.
- Prepare Whipped Cream – Beat 1 cup of chilled whipping cream until it forms soft peaks and sticks to the bowl.
- Make Chocolate Ganache – Melt compound chocolate with whipping cream in the microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Layer the Cake – Place one cake layer, spread ganache, and repeat for all layers. Cover the entire cake with whipped cream.
- Final Ganache Drizzle – Pour melted chocolate ganache over the top for a rich finish.
- Refrigerate – Chill the cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
